Set Up Your Game: Start by choosing your game mode: play solo against AI, team up with friends for a co-op experience, or join a ranked match with players worldwide. Select a map, customize your avatar, and get ready for the adventure. Gather Resources: The island of Catan is rich in resources like wood, brick, wheat, ore, and sheep. Players take turns rolling dice to determine which hexes produce resources. Collect these resources to build settlements, roads, and cities on the map. Build Your Empire: Use your resources to build settlements, roads, and cities. Each settlement gives you 1 victory point, and cities provide 2 points. The more settlements and cities you control, the more powerful you become. Roads help you expand your reach across the island. Trade with Other Players: One of the key elements of Catan is trading. Use your resources to trade with other players, either directly or through the game’s built-in trading system. The right trade could give you the edge you need to build your next settlement or city. Acquire Development Cards: Development cards can provide advantages such as extra victory points, the ability to steal resources from other players, or the powerful Largest Army bonus. Use them wisely to gain an edge in the game. Watch Out for the Robber: The robber can block resource production on hexes and steal resources from players. You can move the robber by rolling a 7 or using a knight card. Avoid letting the robber block your key resources, or you could lose valuable turns. Earn Victory Points: The first player to reach 10 victory points wins the game. Points are earned by building settlements, cities, obtaining the Largest Army or Longest Road, and accumulating development cards. Multiplayer and Online: Play with friends in custom games, join public lobbies, or face off against players in ranked matches. Challenge yourself in global tournaments and climb the leaderboards to prove you are the best settler of Catan.
